After completing his training under Jose Pretorius in Johannesburg, and also being certified as a classical ballet teacher,  He moved to Cape Town to pursue a career as a professional dancer,  joining the Cape Town City Ballet and became their senior soloist. His repertoires amongst many classical ballets including Siegfried in Swan Lake, Albrecht in Giselle and the prince in the Nutcracker. He has also performed work from renowned choreographers such as John Neumeier's Le Sacre, Spring and Fall, Ashley Killar's Sarabande, Frank Staff's Transfigured Nights, and George Balanchine's Serenade.  Throughout his dance career, Konrad has continued teaching and studying to further his teaching qualification.
