Dmitry Govoroukhine

Dmitry Govoroukhine was born in Izhevsk (Russia) and educated at the renowned Perm Ballet Academy. From 1999 onwards, he studied at the SBBS in Zurich as a Nureyev Foundation scholarship holder. In 2001, he became a member of Ballet Zurich. With this company he appeared in numerous ballets by famous choreographers including Heinz Spoerli’s „Nutcracker”, where he danced the principal part of Fritz. Various companies invited him as a guest dancer, and in 2005 he was nominated „Young Artist of the Year”. Dmitry's teaching certificate was awarded to him by the American Ballet Theatre ABT. He has been a teacher at the Yen Han Dance Centre since 2013, and in summer 2015 he took on additional responsibilities as Assistant to the Managing Director. Beyond that, he has been part of the pre-selection board at the Prix de Lausanne since 2014.
