Emina (Minka) Kamberovic was trained in Sarajevo and St. Petersburg. She danced as a prima ballerina in Sarajevo and as a popular guest star in many different countries before founding and running her own ballet school in Sarajevo. Over the years, she was often invited to guest abroad as ballet master and ballet teacher; amongst others, she worked in Zurich at the Opera House for a prolonged period and at the Ballettberufsschule for twenty years.

Minka was Professor for Historic Dance at the Institute for Drama and Film in Sarajevo as well as guest teacher for Historic Dance at the Schauspiel Gemeinschaft Zürich. She served as member of both organization committees or juries of numerous international dance competitions. For her own work, but also for that of her students, she received many important prizes.

We are particularly happy that such an exceptional and experienced teacher agreed to pass on her profound knowledge to the students at our Center.
