Galina Grigoryan-Mihaylova

Born in Bulgaria, Galina Grigoryan-Mihaylova was educated in Sofia and at SBBS in Zurich. In August 1999 she joined the then Zurich Ballet and in 2007, she was promoted to First Soloist. During the Spoerli era she appeared in numerous classics (“Swan Lake”/Odette, “Don Quixotte”/Cupid, “The Nutcracker”/Marie) and new ballets choreographed by Heinz Spoerli, as well as in works by Forsythe, Kylián and Balanchine. The Spuck era so far brought about debuts in Christian Spuck’s ballets “Romeo and Juliet” (Nurse), “Leonce and Lena” (Rosetta) and “Anna Karenina” (Dolly), in addition to numerous choreographies by Nacho Duato, Auguste Bournonville, Twyla Tharpe, Jiří Bubeniček, Uwe Scholz, Jerome Robbins, Nils Christe, Mats Ek, Marco Goecke and Wayne McGregor.
