Seh Yun Kim
After completing training at the Sunwha Art School Seoul in her home country South Korea and at the Kirov Academy in Washington DC, Seh joined the Universal Ballet Company in Seoul and danced there as a principal dancer for five years. After that she first became a member of the Zurich Ballet under the direction of Heinz Spoerli, where she was also a principal dancer. In the following years she danced at the Dutch National ballet, went back to the Zurich Ballett as a guest principal and danced with the Compania Nacional de Danza in Madrid as first principal under the direction of Jose Martinez. During this time she performed the main roles of many classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Sleeping beauty or la Bayadere. Her repertoire also includes many neoclassical and contemporary pieces, as well as Balanchine Ballets.
The following years she also dedicated to her education, starting degrees in Design and Innovation and the Master of Dance at the Zurich Univerity of Arts, where she also worked as a guest choreographer for the Tanz Akademie.
Amongst other awards and prices, she was awarded the Ballerina Award of the Korean Ballet Association in 2002.
